The Situation for Non-Established Marketers…

If you’re a new marketer promoting JVZoo products (to a lesser extent Warrior Plus has this issue too), or worse if you’ve just started out as a new affiliate and suffered failed promotions while you were starting to learn, you’ll probably become familiar with the JVZoo Catch-22. Here’s how it works…

Product vendors are insanely jealous about their conversion rates, especially during launches. Why? Because:

  1. Higher conversion rates attract top affiliates which leads to higher conversion rates…
  2. Higher conversion rates affect a metric called “Earnings per Click”. This has a direct effect on what affiliates are willing to bid in paid traffic for the affiliate offer. Lower bids = less traffic & sales for the product developer…

So here’s the problem for affiliates…if you come out of the gate and have a low conversion rate, you’ll get denied by the top product developers for the top products. You might get accepted by some low end marketers with products that aren’t selling well and they have nothing to lose. But you do! If you promote their products, it will make your success rate even lower and your problem will build on itself…

So how do you get out of this situation? You need to find a back door and then do the right things with the opportunities you find…

3 Methods for Getting Out of the Catch-22…

There are 3 things that you can do to improve or even guarantee your acceptance to promote quality products on JVZoo and Warrior Plus…

  1. Develop a high quality review website, interact with the developer on social media, etc…(that’s the hard way)
  2. Leverage the credibility of a third party. Some marketers have special arrangements with product developers (please don’t ruin this for the rest of us!). This membership, for example, gets you accepted by a a wide variety of product developers because they assume that the third party will be doing all the marketing for you while you will be promoting a give-away lead magnet that has no effect on their numbers. Whenever this 3rd party wants to promote something new, a link appears in your back-office asking you to request permission to promote. You put in a secret phrase and you almost always get accepted! There is at least 1 other membership that has the same arrangement. In this case, the lead magnet has direct links to the affiliate offers rather than getting the customers on a list. Either way, the audience is “pre-sold” by the content and the product developer is buffered against bad numbers.
  3. Provide bonuses and a professional looking bonus page. Marketers know this has a substantial effect on people’s decision to buy and again, people who drop off the bonus page do absolutely nothing to harm the product developer’s numbers (or yours as a prospective affiliate). This is a system that many top marketers are using to configure these pages.

Your Responsibility

Now, it’s obvious that once the product developers accept you, they don’t really have control whether you decide to stick with the method you told them you were going to use, and actually that’s fine…IF…you substitute another method that’s equally professional and equally protects the EPC of the product for everyone.

Remember, once you actually drive some sales the product developer won’t remember or care how you first got approved and you’ll be able to just gain approvals on your own track record and who you are.

If, however, you send junk traffic directly to the affiliate URL, you’ll probably be black listed regardless of the 3rd party arrangements, and if you SPAM or run afoul of the law, you can get banned by all parties involved!
